1 OUT OF TIME Hire band A This show has it all. There is lots of sparkling fun as four friends get in to something they never intended to, that of a time travelling adventure. Starting by being taken back in time to the Tudor age of Queen Elizabeth the First . . All they had been doing was discussing the Tudor age at Claire’s birthday disco! The friends took some time to get used to the Tudor age, and palled up with some Tudor children which didn’t stop them getting slung into jail by an angry Queen Elizabeth the First. The Tudor court jester is discovered by the children as a ‘dabbler’ in time travelling and he resolves to get the children ‘back home’ He fails. He sends them to some remote time well into the future and goes with them. He attempts another time change but this time gets them sent to the Victorian times. Only when John realises what needs to be done do the friends get back to their own time. They end up remonstrating with the sad court jester who is truly ‘Out of his time!’. The show has about thirty songs and musical numbers of different types depending on what period of time the actors are in. Songs like ‘look to the future’ ‘back again’ ‘homework’ ‘so they guessed in the end’ ‘welcome young friends’ ‘prisoners songs’ ‘we cannot control this heat’ ‘we’re out of our time’ and many more! There are endless possibilities on scenery creation which can depend on budgets. The same can be said of costumes though the Tudor period can lead to some ambitious costuming. Around forty odd characters make up the show with its different time periods. There are different versions as well.. The full version for adults with children in their group can be well over two hours but shorter versions leaving out some of the time periods can be just over one hour. Whatever group take this on, they will have endless fun with it. Phone or email for a script and music
