‘Born In A Stable’ follows much of the traditional Nativity story with one or two additions. Full of the most beautiful music it is something for a musical theatrical group to consider seriously with some music scored for four part choir work.

The prophet ‘Zebuah’ predicts the coming of the Baby Jesus and the Herod guards keep trying to move him on. King Herod himself is portrayed in a semi – humorous way as he tries to ply he three Kings with questions on where they were going.

The musical has over twenty songs with plenty of solos including ‘Father God Most Holy’ which is sung by Zebuah and Mary. Other songs include ‘Joseph And Mary’ ‘No Room At The Inn’ ‘So They Rested In The Stable’ ‘Take The Shepherds To The Stable’ ‘I Saw A Light’ ‘Kings We Are’ ‘Fear Not For Behold’ ‘When We Find Our Resting Place’ ‘Herod’s Song’ ‘Tis The Morning To Be Happy’ - ‘Born In Bethlehem’

Costumes are traditional Nativity and the stage sets are as you want them. Use minimalist scenery or a stable door or whatever.

The first production of this show had a live baby and a donkey! The adage ‘never work with children and animals’ was not true here!
